Michael Thomas Barry is the critically acclaimed author of five books that include Final Resting Places Orange County’s Dead & Famous (2010); Fade to Black Graveside Memories of Hollywood Greats 1927-1950 (2011); Murder & Mayhem 52 Crimes that Shocked Early California 1849-1949 (2012); Great Britain’s Royal Tombs: The Lives & Burial Places of British Monarchs (2012); and Literary Legends of the British Isles: The Lives & Burial Places of 50 Great Writers (2013). He is also the author the e-short story “Once in a Blue Moon: A Short Story.” His books have been favorably reviewed by the Orange County Register, Orange Coast Magazine, OC Metro, Readers Favorite, the Midwest Book Review, and many others. He has made numerous TV and radio appearances that include Investigation Discovery Channel’s “Deadly Women” TV series and PBS SoCal’s “Real Orange.”

He is a columnist for www.crimemagazine.com and is a graduate of Cal State Fullerton with degrees in history and criminal justice and is member of the Phi Alpha Theta honor society. He is a member of the Mystery Writers of America, American Society of Journalists & Authors, and The Authors Guild. The author is a native of the Chicago area and grew up in the village of Wheeling, Illinois and is a graduate of Wheeling High School. He currently resides in Orange, California with his wife, Christyn and their two golden retrievers, Jake and Madison.
